Chalkboards are a great way to make announcements and save paper at events. Instead of printing out programs or menus for each guest, guests can just glance at the big sign. If chalkboards does not fit the ambiance your event, you can check out Calligraphy part I and part III, where I demonstrate this technique on different surfaces. 

here we go!

1) choose a font, and/or illustration you like and copy it on word or adobe illustrator. 

2) print it out. 

3) use tracing paper and imprint the font and design onto the chalkboard.

4) Trace with a chalk marker and voila~ you have your sign with calligraphy. 

Your chalkboard would probably be bigger than 8.5" x 11, so in order to fill the chalkboard, you can cut your paper into pieces and place it wherever you want your design.
